NYC Hot Sauce Expo 2014
All the sauces had a great consistency and nice body, and were visually impressive as well as tasty. We have already planned to order some sauce from Grinders in the very near future to cook with on the blog. Great to see Grinders here in the Big Apple.

I was very happy when I found out VooDoo Chile was going to be at the expo as I had been following this company for some time. I was thrilled to meet the Proprietor and Sauceologist, my friend Thomas Toth, Jr. in person since we recently sent a few messages back and forth.

I was pleased to buy a bottle of PORCUS INFERNUM from him and we talked about his sauces and my interest in his flagship product. PORCUS is a Bacon Hot Sauce and most people I know love bacon. It is a must have sauce for bacon lovers. Thomas had his other sauces out for sampling like BHUTy THYME (Ghost Pepper), VooDew HoneyDoo, V’Racha, Piquante 'Pig' Rub and more goodies. What are you waiting for? Get your Bhut over to VooDoo Chile Sauces website (see below) and order some hot products.

Sweet Heat Gourmet makes a splendid line of BBQ and Hot Sauces. I know from experience as their sauces are in our pantry, and we have made an awesome pork dish with the BBQ Sauce. Sweet Heat Gourmet offer several great hot sauces, from mild to really hot. Located in PA, Sweet Heat Gourmet source local produce for their hot sauces. Sweet Heat list the farms the produce or fruit comes from on the bottle. That shows dedication to the locally sourced hot sauce scene.

Jordan Brenner's Hot-Cha WAA-Cha Sauce & Spice Co.
I was happy to see my friend Kendell Brenner again this year. We have been friends since the Chili Pepper Fiesta in
a few years ago. Jordan Brenner's Hot-Cha WAA-Cha Sauces have recently added more
spices to their inventory. They also sell some hot pretzels now. I missed Brooklyn, NY Jordan the last
2 expos, but hope to see him later this year at a hot sauce event. Brenner's had all their great sauces out for tasting, and this company is a local NY fave, just upstate from us. Check out their hot sauces like Strawberry Habanero, Garlic Lime, Maple Mango, and the limited OMG Hot Sauce (w/ Carolina Reaper Peppers). Brenner's also sell BBQ sauces and spices. Brenner's is a Two Frys recommended, local sauce company from great folks.
