Zombie Cookies

Zombie Cookies

Z O M B I E S!
I saw a Zombie Dance Party Sugar Cookie Baking Kit at Target and I could not resist purchasing it. The kit includes 4 zombie cookie cutters, sugar cookie mix, frosting mix, red and black icing pens, 2 piping bags and green color powder. All you need to add to the sugar cookies mix is 4 tablespoons of room temperature butter and 1 egg. To make the white frosting you need 4 tablespoons of room temperature butter and 1 tablespoon of milk. The directions are printed on the box and are very easy to follow.

I am not an artist and my skill level is drawing stick figures for the most part, so this was an attempt at making Zombie Cookies. Please do not judge my skill level. I used Americolor Gourmet Writers and my own decorations: skulls, hearts, sprinkles, etc... My zombies are bleeding real bad from various injuries and turned after leaving a Social Distortion concert. There was a sudden outbreak dubbed a zombie virus and they were attacked by zombies and turned within seconds. The zombie apocalypse has begun!

My hubby bought me Undead Fred cookie cutters, so I made another set of zombie cookies.

I made this set of zombie cookies when I baked all my Halloween cookies (see next set of posts). It seemed like the perfect opportunity to make these cookies as well. For the Sugar Cookies and Royal Icing Recipe, please visit Joy of Baking:

Enjoy!
